As we have partnered with perinatal clinics to implement the perinatal collaborative care model, we have gathered feedback from clinical personnel on their experience with the model and how it has improved the provision of care. Below, we highlight some anecdotes from obstetric clinicians, care managers, and medical support staff.

“It was so reassuring to know that my patients' symptoms were being monitored between clinic visits. The Care Manager communicated with me about their needs, which allowed me to be proactive in treating their mental health concerns before their symptoms worsened.” – Midwife

“I’m grateful for the structure, support, and accountability that collaborative care provides. It empowers me to use my clinical judgment to deliver personalized, empathetic care, while the patient registry helps me track treatment effectiveness and identify patients who may need additional support. Team meetings offer a valuable space to discuss challenging cases and receive expert guidance from our perinatal psychiatrist. By supporting obstetric providers in prescribing most psychiatric medications, we reduce care gaps, improve communication, and enhance the patient experience. The perinatal CCM enables me to provide the high-quality care every patient deserves.” – Care Manager

“The pregnancy and postpartum periods are when mental health is simultaneously most vulnerable and most important. As a provider, it was so valuable to have a program available that is both comprehensive and accessible to patients!” – Midwife
